The children we serve in Liberia often do not have anywhere to go on Christmas. So the L.A.C.E.S. coaches gather them together for a holiday meal. For many of them, L.A.C.E.S. is their family. The true gifts we bring to the children though are year round:
‘Home’ is one of the most significant words in our work. In Liberia, it means working to reconnect street living children with families or community. We help them find a sense of home again.
With our refugee youth, we focus on helping them feel welcome in their new country. We want them to know that they are loved and that they have a home here.
From the beginning, you have helped us serve over 3,750 children, trained 300 coaches on how to mentor children through sports and provided over 525,000 meals.
