“If nothing is done to reduce the level of violence in the streets, Liberia is always doomed for another war.
L.A.C.E.S.’ contribution is to detoxify the streets and ensure that we have not a breeding ground for violence but a breeding ground for growth and development.”

– James Moore, Liberia Country Director

Note from the Executive Director

When our team visited Liberia in June, the coaches shared with us how many of the kids do not feel loved, affirmed or valued at home or in society. They emphasized that one of the most important aspects of L.A.C.E.S. work is reminding children of their worth.

That is why we are calling this our Most Valuable Players campaign. Every time we convey the support of people in the United States, it is another reminder to the children we serve that they are loved. These children have faced hardship after hardship and have either lost loved ones due to war, ebola, COVID or become lost to their loved ones due to turning to the streets.

We help children reconnect with their family or find community beyond it. When you’ve been cast aside or wandered off, having L.A.C.E.S. provide a ‘home field’ becomes all the more critical.

Your help means the world to us, our coaches and the children we serve.
