The entire US staff headed to Liberia in May and had an amazing time getting to see the programs, meet the children we serve and thank our coaches for all of their hard work.
This was a special trip for our team as it was the last trip our Founder, Seren Fryatt, will be taking as the Executive Director of L.A.C.E.S. Seren founded L.A.C.E.S. in 2007 and after 15 years will be transitioning from the position of Executive Director to Board member. Liberia is where L.A.C.E.S. started, so it was fitting that we spend her last few weeks as the Executive Director celebrating her impact on the youth in Liberia.

In addition to the celebration, our entire U.S. team, who had never been to Liberia, were able to meet the hundreds of children they impact through their hard work every day.
Leah Thirkill, Operations Manager in the U.S. commented, “I have been working with L.A.C.E.S. for the last three years, helping the US office and programs run smoothly. In that time I’ve also worked virtually with Pastor Roberts and James to tell the stories of our Liberian youth, mentors and programs. It was an amazing honor to be introduced to the coaches and children I have come to know so well from afar and see first hand the great impact of our work amongst their communities.”

L.A.C.E.S. enjoyed their Liberia home for the week, the beautiful Ocean View guesthouse that was two steps away from a gorgeous ocean view!
