It is common that children who live on the street work hard labor just to get one meal. When these children join L.A.C.E.S they have the security of knowing they will have a nutritious meal every week.

Meet Mary
In October Mary joined a L.A.C.E.S. Kickball Team. Last week she practiced 2 times, ate cassava greens and rice with her teammates, and won her game 3‐1. During last week’s practice she learned that when she shows someone respect she is recognizing that person’s worth and value, and was challenged to find ways to show respect to others in the coming week.

How do all of these consistent weekly activities make an impact on her life?
Mary lives on the street which means she does not have role models to teach her how to respect others, give her meals, or tell her she can be anything she wants to be in life.
