Typically our camps are refugee inclusive only, however, once a year we bring non-refugee youth and refugee youth together to participate in activities that bonds them by stretching the comfort zones of all campers.

To participate in the Adventure Camp your child must be:

  • Age 11-14
  • Boys and Girls
  • Due to some adventure activities, youth must be 80 pounds or more and over 4 ft. tall.
  • Must be able to provide their own bike.
  • Have an adult who can provide for their transportation (independent of L.A.C.E.S.)
What you can expect:

Thurs., July 25       Trampoline Park

Fri., July 26            High Ropes Course

Volunteer

We ask that adventure leader’s participate alongside the refugee youth, but also be mindful of encouraging a cross-cultural experience among all youth.

If you want to join the adventure but are not a fan of some of the activities (i.e. heights) we need you! We often have a few youth who are uncomfortable with an adventure and so we encourage our “ground” leaders to interact with those campers as well as prepare meals.

What you can expect:

Volunteers might be asked to do the following things.

  • Engage with campers either during the activity or on the ground.
  • Ensure campers safety while attending the camp.
  • Prepare meals.
  • Make sure water is always available.

This camp is fully sponsored so there will be no cost for you to participate. We will have professional instructors to lead activities.

Apply Online before July 15th
Adults:

Adult volunteers must be 18 years or older and provide their own transportation. You can join the Adventure Camp for the day or volunteer packing lunches and interacting with the youth who might decide to stay on the ground.

Please note, Adult volunteers are not required to join us for each day. Upon registration, you can indicate your availability.

Space is limited so applying online does not guarantee participation. After we review your application, you will be asked to complete additional forms to participate.
