Typically our camps are refugee inclusive only, however, once a year we bring non-refugee youth and refugee youth together to participate in activities that bonds them by stretching the comfort zones of all campers.
To participate in the Adventure Camp your child must be:
- Age 11-14
- Boys and Girls
- Due to some adventure activities, youth must be 80 pounds or more and over 4 ft. tall.
- Must be able to provide their own bike.
- Have an adult who can provide for their transportation (independent of L.A.C.E.S.)
What you can expect:
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to help build your child’s self esteem and participate side-by-side refugee youth in a high-ropes course, indoor rock climbing, geocaching, and bike riding.
Wed., July 24 Indoor Rock Climbing
Thurs., July 25 Trampoline Park
Fri., July 26 High Ropes Course
Sat., July 27 Biking
Your child will receive a t-shirt on the first day and breakfast and lunch every day. Experienced guides and chaperones will lead all camp activities to ensure the safety of participants.
Apply Online by July 15th
Please note space is limited so applying online does not guarantee participation. After we review your application, you will be asked to complete additional forms to participate. If you have questions, contact Leah Thirkill at (240) 308 – 5549 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
